Can I Wear A Cream Dress To A Wedding
While a long white lacy dress should be reserved for the bride alone unless she makes another request a guest can confidently wear a cream suit or short dress.
Can i wear a cream dress to a wedding. Or off white or really really pale blue. But wait is it too close in hue to the bride s attire. If you re on the petite side consider a smaller print that won t overwhelm your frame.
It doesn t matter if you ve just come back from the caribbean and have the most fabulous tan ever and the perfect white dress to show it off this shade really is off limits. Even if the wedding guest dress code calls for casual that s no excuse to bust out your old faded jeans but a cute cropped denim jacket could work as a cover up or to dress down an otherwise. I certainly dont see it as upstaging the bride.
Would this be disrespectful to the bride to wear cream. It s always better to be safe than sorry so in most cases the answer is no. This should be a no brainer but it still bears saying.
In fact at some beach themed weddings most of the male and female guests wear at least some white. However if the wedding you re attending is formal or black tie sparkly gowns are usually okay just don t go too overboard and wear something that could be construed as a wedding dress. Im going to a wedding in a few months and have the perfect dress that really suits me.
It happens to the best of us you fall in love with a stunning cream or ivory colored dress that would be just perfect to wear to that wedding you have coming up in a few months. Its capped sleeved and cream comes just above my knees.
White dresses are cute. Male guests should wear a nice dress shirt and slacks paired with a sports jacket in matching colors like brown and beige a black suit and modest tie are acceptable if the wedding is after 6 00 p m. Instead wear something in a colour and leave the whites to the bride.
